Parents wishing to or considering enrolment are warmly invited to call to meet with the staff and pupils and view the facilities. Although not essential an appointment made by telephone will ensure that time is available to spend with visitors to answer any questions they may have.

New entrants are enrolled in January for the following August and announcements are placed in the local press and associated nurseries.

The Enrollment dates for August 2018 entrants are as follows:-

Week beginning 15th January 2018 – Monday - Friday afternoons 1:15pm-3pm

Please come to the school office where you will be issued with the appropriate registration forms. East Dunbartonshire Council requires you to produce the following documentation at time of enrolment:-

Current Council Tax Notice/Bill
Recent Utility Bill (within the last 3 months)

Plus one of the following:-
Child Benefit Letter
Bank Statement (showing Child Benefit/Council Tax payments)
Tax Credit Award Notice
Child's Health Visitor Book

Your child’s Birth Certificate.


If you wish to make a placing request to Mosshead primary then you must enrol at your catchment school and inform them of your intention. You will be required to make an online application to EDC who will inform you if your request has been successful.

If you wish to defer the entry, to primary school, of your child then you must inform your catchment school of your decision. EDC require you to complete the online“Deferred Entry to Primary School” request.

In order to provide the best start possible for the P1 children, invitations will be extended to both children and parents to visit the school for our pre-entrant programme which takes place in June. This provides an opportunity for your child to meet their class mates and teacher and for parents to get an insight into life at Mosshead.
