Scotland Street School and Kelvingrove

In order to further enhance their learning on the Victorians, Primary 6 had the opportunity to visit Scotland Street School, where they had first-hand experience of what life was like in a Victorian classroom. Their teacher, Miss McInnes, was strict. She asked lots of hard questions, made some of them stand in the corner wearing the Dunce’s hat and she even had the belt! All children enjoyed this experience and found it meaningful to their learning. It also allowed them to appreciate how fortunate they are going to school in this day and age.

Following this, Primary 6 visited Kelvingrove Museum where they engaged in even more Victorian activities. They got to examine and handle various objects and even dress up as Victorians for the duration of their visit.
A great time was had by all!
