The Victorians - Scotland Street Trip

On Tuesday 8th March, all of Primary 6 visited Scotland Street Museum. Our class spent the morning exploring the rooms and displays of the museum, and learning all about the history of the building. In the afternoon, we were ‘treated’ to a turn in a real Victorian classroom! We did The Three R’s – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. We also did some art, a very big treat for a Victorian child! We ended our experience with some drill – I don’t think we enjoyed it as much as our usual P.E. lessons with Miss McGeachie!
Our Victorian teacher, Miss McInnes was very strict – we hope we don’t meet her again soon. Unfortunately some of our class ended up in the corner wearing the Dunce’s Cap, and even a few got the belt! (Thankfully, not really!)
