Vision Statement

In Mosshead Primary, we have a clear vision of what we want our school to achieve and represent as we travel along our own journey towards excellence.


Our school community is striving to ensure that our children receive the very best education that we can deliver. We work to achieve success at every level where our pupils can clearly demonstrate creativity, well developed skills and enthusiasm for grasping opportunities to be highly innovative.

We want our children to have the very best start in life where they are equipped to deal with the demands of modern day living. The four capacities of ‘Curriculum for Excellence’ permeate the ethos of our school where we provide an education that enables our pupils to be successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens. 

We are strongly committed to promoting health education in our learning environment and we are constantly vigilant and proactive in our efforts to tackle inequalities in our society.

Further to this, in our efforts to promote responsible citizenship, we have a strong positive belief that our school community can make a difference to our world at local, national and global levels.

Partnerships within our school community are vital to the continued success of Mosshead Primary and we actively engage with all our stakeholders. The service we provide is carried out as a result of continuous self-evaluation where we listen to our pupils, our parents, our staff and the wider community. This culture of customer service excellence is woven into the very heart and soul of Mosshead Primary School.

 It is our belief that distributed leadership opportunities bring further success and commitment to ongoing improvements in our school. Our focus will be to continue to improve and widen the learning opportunities for our whole school community. We will continue to promote and celebrate our attainment and achievement endeavouring to improve the life chances for all our children.
